Lost voices
Countless voices have been censored or cancelled in today’s world. Research articles and books get banned or censored that go against the cultural narrative. Governments control MSM (mainstream media). Certain herbs or substances that have been shown to be beneficial get banned because they interfere with big pharma’s profits. Big pharma has tried to suppress people such as Wim Hof who has said, “A person with cancer is a million bucks per year, so you dont want to lose those clients.” The estimated global cost of cancer between 2020 and 2050 will be $25.2 trillion. That’s huge business. It should be criminal to keep certain drugs illegal that have been proven to be tremendously helpful such as psychedelics. The number of deaths from not legalizing certain drugs, or the deep loss in productivity from slapping criminal records on people for victimless drug or sex crimes is massive. Book banning has been prevalent throughout history such as Orwell’s 1984. Portions of my book that I tried to post have already been banned or censored on various platforms. Facebook has a soft censor where if activated, your post does not appear on the news feed, only on your Facebook page, so unless someone actively visits your page, they will not see your post.
Some have said those who express certain points of view are dangerous so should be censored or cancelled. For example, not everybody perceives certain comics as humorous if they express views in poor taste or offend certain groups. They cite how others parrot these offensive forms of humor to further stigmatize certain controversial issues such as transgenderism. But history shows that censoring such individuals eventually leads to widespread censorship. People’s views should not be controlled. While the intentions are good in cancelling those who speak lies against certain groups of people, the FIRST PRINCIPLE here is the freedom to express one’s views. For example, a person can voice the most heinous beliefs. While I would vehemently disagree with this person, I would still always support this person’s right to their opinions. Once that freedom is removed due to enacted laws, it is a slippery slope towards mass censorship and information control as detailed in George Orwell’s book 1984. Individuals and groups have the right to censor a person but not governments. 1984 was not intended to be an instruction manual for authoritarian governments. But here we are.
We have lost our freedom of speech, or in short, our right to express ourselves online and offline, due to woke, socialist, fascist, group-think, flat-earth beliefs. My being billed as an "impediment" and "disruptive" by certain figures have cost me dearly in reputation and finances but I always somehow manage to land on my feet. William O'Neil was right. Allowing myself to appear in Kevin Marder's book "Conversations with Top Traders" in the year 2000 led to horrible atrocities and false accusations as I became a target. But I have no regrets.
In the meantime, the global situation seems to worsen with each passing day.
Here is a reporter who was fired because he made what some judged as inappropriate jokes online. https://www.thefire.org/news/reporter-fired-moonlighting-comedian-just-got-his-job-back-his-joking-days-may-be-numbered
Jordan Peterson lost his license to medically practice in Canada because he made what was an obvious joke to an offending person.
Then we have bureaucratic systems that monopolize and jeopardize our right to work when one loses their license for what are often ludicrous reasons.
When I tried posting an egregious law being proposed in France that would make it a criminal offense punishable by imprisonment if one speaks out against big pharma, vaccines, or Covid-related matters, Facebook sent me a notice saying they removed my post.
Then when I made a screenshot of this notice, they sent me another notice saying they removed the photo. The Orwellian world is upon us.
A decentralized Web3/AI/blockchain world will spawn the network state as detailed by Balaji Srinivasan in his book. But while it will likely take some serious setbacks and sacrifice to achieve this (r)evolutionary state, it will be worth it even if I die trying. A short life of principle is better than a long life of compromise. In consequence, I've published the first three parts of my book so far, though I've been advised to not publish the rest. I say publish or perish.
