Deep state surveillance
Important note for this chapter: Over the years, I have faced censorship and cancellation, among other actions by big tech aligned with government and mainstream media (MSM). Sadly in today’s world, an alarming number of individuals can claim similar. If you are reading this, maybe you or someone you know is one of them. In fact, ChatGPT said some of my research questions violated their terms & conditions and reported me to authorities. The surveillance state is well upon us. This is centralized AI in action born from the fear-based effective altruism (EA) movement which seeks to stifle innovation, but it does not stand a chance against e/acc (effective acceleration) which decentralizes AI to create maximum evolutionary velocity. This will prevent centralized systems of power from gaining even greater monopolistic control over the masses in the years ahead.
I keep my life open source so it becomes simple for a bad actor to twist facts. In consequence, I have been removed from various websites. This coincides with the incident in the UK as the attempt to suppress my internet presence was successful. I became a "person of interest" with my digital footprint monitored by various agencies. This scrutiny resulted from my commitment to speaking truth to influential individuals I've connected with during my extensive travels, including Stephen Fry, Elon Musk, Lawrence Bender, Nicolas Berggruen, Garth Ancier, Per Wimmer, Andy Wright, Vitalik Buterin, David Cheng, Stephen Huntsman, and David Neuman among others. Their support shows how they too would rather live a short life of principle over a long life of compromise. Unfortunately, speaking truth that goes against the cultural narrative carries great risk. I’ve been called by certain nation-states a disruptive “impediment”. Despite the challenges and personal decimation both financially and reputationally for speaking truth to power, I firmly believe that living in fear is not a fulfilling way to exist. As succinctly expressed by Beff Jezos/Guillaume Verdon, "I choose to die honoring my principles rather than live a life of compromise and instrumental submission to the powers that be."
Governmental surveillance serves the purpose of exerting nation-state control over individuals rather than genuinely caring about their well being. Vague terms like "terrorism," "money laundering," and "pedophilia" illustrate this point, as legal definitions have become increasingly ambiguous, allowing for the creation of a wide range of laws based on such unclear definitions. In consequence, the laws have become so convoluted that the average person commits three felonies a day without knowing it. We are guilty until proven innocent.
Sinead O'Connor famously challenged the cultural narrative, stating that much of what we've been taught is a lie. She tore up a picture of the Pope on Saturday Night Live due to rampant child molestation accusations within the Catholic church which led to her being demonized by public and media. Cultural narrative conditions us to view the Pope and religion as automatically good, despite the fact that religious wars have caused more bloodshed than all other conflicts combined. Sinead, with her actions, anticipated the public apology many years later from a later Pope for the sexual harm done to children. Much like her, it takes great courage to speak truths that contradict prevailing but misguided cultural narratives.
Regrettably, widespread brainwashing and hypocrisy have become the norm. Terms like money laundering, pedophilia, cryptocurrency, and terrorism have been weaponized. MSM has taken what some Catholic priests have done to children and projected it onto all age-different relationships. The term "pedophile," technically referring to someone with a sexual interest in pre-pubescent individuals, has been distorted by the mainstream media to imply that anyone deemed too old is a pervert. This distortion exacerbates the harmful impact of age of consent laws, despite cultural variations such as the Jewish tradition recognizing adulthood at age 13 and the famous tale of Romeo & Juliet depicting youthful romance as Juliet was 13. Consequently, older teens fear being labeled as pedophiles for having relationships with younger teens, contributing to the documented rise in depression and suicide among children and teenagers by psychologists and researchers such as Jonathan Haidt. The truth is that age is sometimes just a number, with more individuals maintaining a youthful appearance and spirit. Factors like a healthy diet, positive mindset, improved lifestyle, and increased genetic diversity contribute to what can be termed the "youthanizing" of certain cultures. Additionally, younger individuals often possess wisdom as they learn from their peers in both digital and physical spaces.
Granted, the Patriot Act laws, anti-drug laws, anti-sex laws, and Dodd Frank all sound good in theory. We dont want to be terrorized by the enemy, become addicted to drugs, get sexually abused, or give big banks artificial monopolies. However, in practice, all are slow creeps of government overreach to where our rights are being crippled spurring horror stories such as teens getting criminally labelled as sex offenders for sexting nudes to each other.
Power differentials
The #MeToo and age of consent issues have highlighted the power dynamics between men and women as well as between adults and minors, with women and minors holding the clear upper hand in terms of reporting sexual harassment and assault. However, this shift in power dynamics has often resulted in unintended consequences, where well-meaning laws and policies aimed at protecting vulnerable groups end up destroying the livelihoods and reputations of innocent individuals. The number of careers that have been wrongfully ruined from false accusations is staggering. My close childhood friend Roy Price is one of countless victims showing that more than 1/3 of men whose careers were ruined were actually innocent.
Inherent power imbalances characterize relationships across various dimensions, including finances, age, gender, race, intelligence, and charisma. Financial inequities, often a prevalent factor, can potentially bind an individual to a relationship due to economic constraints. As for gender, females throughout history up until more contemporary times stereotypically were at a disadvantage to their male partners. Such gender differences still foster deep power imbalances in much of the world. But does that mean such relationships should be outlawed? Further, irrespective of age, those with greater financial means may exploit this advantage to exert control over their less economically secure partners.
When it comes to age disparities, while age different relationships that are beneficial often go unnoticed, the few negative ones get highlighted when the older is at fault. By contrast, when the younger is the abuser, such relationships don’t get reported further perpetuating the myth that age different relationships are wrong and that the older is the offender. Stereotypes depicting the younger exploiting the older for financial gain, or the older exploiting the younger for sexual reasons perpetuate biased media narratives. However, these narratives, designed for shock value, do not accurately represent the diversity of such relationships. In reality, cultures with an age of consent below 16 often foster loving relationships that challenge conventional perceptions, revealing the complexity of age dynamics.
#justicesystemsurvivor
Just as there are #MeToo #harveyweinstein #jeffreyepstein survivors, in today’s world, the hashtag should be #justicesystemsurvivor. This book which will be updated in real-time here on Substack as new data emerges aims to clear up the broad spectrum of brainwash-induced misunderstandings discussed in the previous chapter, all due to rampant disinformation which has caused the public to believe in false narratives spurred by MSM. This has created countless flat-earthers.
Living a lie
That said, people believe what they want to believe due to cultural conditioning, social pressure, and the deep desire to be accepted by staying in agreement with others. Some will live a lie and even marry a person that goes against their sexuality just to be accepted or to not disappoint friends and family. We have all heard of a gay man or lesbian woman leaving the marriage when he or she decides he or she can no longer live the lie. This is tragic for the man, the woman, and their children. I hope to see the day where everyone can be true to their nature without harsh judgement but instead have full acceptance and support.
In today's environment, individuals are reluctant to speak out on contentious subjects such as the reality behind illegal drugs, pharmaceutical prescriptions, the broad spectrum of sexualities, gender reassignment, or religious/race/age-different relationships. The fear of being labeled an addict, a freak, a pervert, or facing reputational damage discourages people from addressing these issues openly. Politicians fear child porn being planted on their devices if they vote against certain laws. Consequently, the truth becomes stifled, exacerbated by the censorship of reputable research studies on drugs (both prescribed and illegal) and sexuality. These studies, contradicting cultural narratives, often get removed from the internet. This should come as no surprise since book banning is a well known phenomenon, thus censorship of controversial research articles also continues to suppress truths.
Social ostracization can nearly destroy one’s health first by destroying the mind, then the body, then the spirit of the victim who is often perceived to be a monster. This provoked the talk I gave in Amsterdam which received a standing ovation from the several hundred people in the audience. Vishen who founded Mindvalley said it was his favorite talk of the event.
The divisive “-isms”
All of this underscores one of my massively transformative purposes (MTPs): to expose how the -isms are divisive from racism to ageism to religionism to sexualism. If racism is so wrong, why is ageism so right? With age regressive biohacking techniques now available, today’s 60 is yesterday’s 35, and today’s 30 is yesterday’s 15 as shown from photos in chapter 1. One can also look old at 20 and even look young at 60 depending on their mindset. Professor David Sinclair of Harvard is approaching 60 but could pass for early 30s. One’s biological age does not have to match their mental age or physical appearance. Because I still feel like I’m 15 years old, I seem to have an affect on others that help them reconnect with their inner child. One bitterly divorced woman in her 40s said just being around me influenced her to reach her inner child so she could enjoy life again.
Various technologies, including stem cells and CRISPR, already enable us to visibly reduce our age. Professor David Sinclair was the first to take old mice and make them young in body and mind. Certain individuals can employ enough tactics with the right discipline to slow and reverse their biological age. In this mission's progression, people assess based on how old they perceive a person to be visually vs. their actual biological age. Since people base their views on appearance, a 60 year old that looks 20-something is 20-something to outsiders. My Horvath clock, a measure of biological age, indicates that I'm in my 20s, although this age can fluctuate. Notably, during the recent mega-crisis in 2023, I experienced accelerated aging in just a few months due to massive stress beyond measure. It is akin to someone who ages significantly after a serious health issue such as a heart attack. Additionally, the scar from a near-death motorcycle accident in 2006 grew due to stress, as discussed in Chapter 9 making my neck appear worn. Fortunately, with extensive biohacking, supported by my friend Pavel whom I discuss in Chapter 7, I am attempting to reverse the damage.
The witch hunts
Sparking the pandemic of the -isms are the witch hunt crimes catalyzed by the weaponization of words discussed above such as terrorism, sex, money laundering, pedophilia, drugs, and psychedelics. In consequence, millions of innocent victims have been persecuted and prosecuted over the last century.
Concerning the #MeToo call-out/cancel culture, it's crucial not to impose contemporary standards on past actions. While I'm not referring to behaviors that caused harm but were previously ignored, #MeToo reveals that certain actions considered acceptable and victimless 20 years ago are now deemed criminal, leading to reputational ruin. Many males find themselves victims of changing standards. As norms and cultures evolve, we should consider movements like #sextoo, #drugstoo, and #justicesystemsurvivor for the millions imprisoned for victimless crimes. Redirecting these lives towards productive and fulfilling purposes could contribute to the collective brain trust and bolster the economic engine. This aligns with the e/acc (effective acceleration) movement, emphasizing that "none of us is as smart as all of us." More minds foster progress and generate solutions so it is crucial to prevent the cancellation, reputational ruin, imprisonment, or wrongful death of innocent individuals.
You also cant apply modern standards cross-culturally. What is legal in one culture is a crime in another. The use of marijuana in California is now permitted compared to Hong Kong and China where it is still a serious crime that carries prison sentences. In Amsterdam there is a marijuana museum showing the millions of innocent victims that have been imprisoned over the decades. It is therefore unsurprising that what is sexually celebrated in one culture may be demonized in another.
The "atrocity story" has been a narrative tool throughout history. It typically unfolds like this: a horrifying incident occurs to an individual, prompting the use of state force, and the creation of laws to prevent its recurrence. Governments often capitalize on crises to expand their control. Numerous instances support this pattern. For example, when thalidomide led to increased FDA scrutiny on drug approvals, it resulted in more deaths as legitimate drugs took longer to get approved. Similarly, Covid-related quarantines and lockdowns caused greater casualties through job loss, domestic violence, depression, and suicide than the direct deaths attributed to Covid. This underscores the cost of bureaucratic systems, which grow more cumbersome as government overreach intensifies, as discussed by Ed Seykota in his book “Govopoly in the 39th Day” Seykota argues that when the time and cost dedicated to addressing regulations surpass the actual production of goods or services, it marks the beginning of the end.
Ray Dalio has confirmed Seykota’s findings in his in-depth studies on market cycles going back hundreds of years. In consequence, it is standard practice today as we are at the eleventh hour in terms of where the world sits in this long term debt cycle before revolution and global war take hold, if history is any guide. That said, I believe this can be averted as I discuss in the last chapter on technological solutions.
Whether real, exaggerated, or fake, when it comes to politics most everything is a form of disinformation. At various times, words such as terrorism, marijuana, psychedelics, communist, Bitcoin, pedophilia, and money laundering have been and continue to be weaponized by the MSM. Rights crippling laws are often passed. Witch hunts are typically the result.
The witch hunts: drugs
On psychedelics, most countries still list therapeutically proven psychedelics such as psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, San Pedro, iboga, GHB, and peyote as highly illegal Schedule I drugs. In reality, psychedelics have been proven to combat and often cure PTSD among other social disorders. GHB has been shown to cure narcolepsy, insomnia, and is one of the most powerful anti-aging substances. We are born with it in our bloodstream. But MSM demonized it because when combined with alcohol, it can induce seizures. Iboga has been shown to cure serious addictions to drugs and alcohol. The reality that tens of thousands of depressed individuals in the US take their own lives annually, despite the long-standing knowledge about the positive effects of psychedelics when combined with talk therapy for treating depression, is infuriating. The classification of psychedelics as Schedule I drugs, rather than utilizing their therapeutic potential, should evoke strong reactions. Keeping beneficial technologies under wraps for extended periods due to misguided precautionary principles ought to be considered a crime. An illustrative case is the FDA's delay in drug approvals, resulting in millions of deaths, primarily to prevent potential harm to a few individuals. Meanwhile, we are now just starting to see the second order effects of vaccines such as Covid which are boosting the already excessively high rates of autoimmune disorders in addition to other diseases. Startling data was released on New Zealand.
But this gets downplayed by MSM who focuses on less salient issues to spur fear in the masses. In consequence, fear is at all time highs sponsored by mainstream media. Fear cripples.
The hateful -isms
I was sent here for many reasons. One is to spread infinite love, infinite sex (we are made from it), infinite health (biohacking), infinite wealth (we co-create), infinite wisdom (we all can access what Tesla called the ether aka the multidimensional multiverse), and infinite gratitude.
I aim to reduce the prevalence of "isms" in the world—racism (acknowledging that we all harbor some degree of it, with the crucial aspect being how much it influences our actions), ageism (questioning why ageism is more acceptable when racism is widely condemned), religionism (considering the significant bloodshed caused by religious wars), and sexualism (noting the generational shift toward greater acceptance, particularly evident in the pansexual and pangender perspectives of Gen Z). Recognition of trans people and diverse sexualities is a positive step forward, despite instances highlighted by mainstream media that focus on a regretful minority, often taken out of context. Think about it this way. If you changed your gender but were then ostracized by friends and family, you would probably become depressed despite finally being in the right body. This is in parallel to those who came out as gay or lesbian over the last century at great personal and psychological risk.
In the chart below, the numbers are probably higher since some still cling to the view they are 100% straight due to cultural pressures. It is easy to suppress parts of oneself where one feels shame.
The witch hunts: sex
Ongoing witch hunts revolve around age of consent laws which are treated differently depending on country. Inconsistencies are abundant. In South America, age of consent typically ranges from 13-15 years old, in the US state law varies from 13–18 but federal law is 18, and in the UK under 16s go to jail if they have any sex full stop. Teens who sext go to prison for possession and distribution of child pornography. The huge number of underage uploading pornographic pictures of themselves onto highly trafficked sites such as OnlyFans, TikTok, Snapchat, and Twitter to make money or find sexual partners is creating a field day for justice systems who seek to imprison anyone who possesses or disseminates such images. High school students who used AI image generators to remove clothes of their underage classmates were arrested for the creation of child pornography. The average teen has a bullseye on their back as they easily understand how to use AI image generators on top of being at that age where sex is always on their minds. As a consequence, the only profession that has continued to skyrocket in salaries over the past 50 years is the number of lawyers employed. The average age kids discover porn is age 13. While this sounds horrifying to parents, this is nothing new! Earlier generations of prepubescent boys before the internet existed would raid their dad’s stash of Playboy magazines. Ask yourself, if biology dictates such behaviors, why are we so shocked? Have we really forgotten or suppressed our childhoods?? MSM sadly shapes cultural narrative so continues to pump fear into the public about the wrongfulness and immorality of such behaviors.
It's important to remember that in history, witches were once burned at the stake, the McCarthy-era Red Scare in the 1950s and 1960s ruined many careers, and millions of individuals have been and, in some countries, continue to be incarcerated for using marijuana. Smoking weed was one of the worst crimes in the 1960s and still is in places such as Hong Kong and China. Actor Jackie Chan’s family has been disgraced because his son was smoking weed recreationally with a couple friends on a Friday night.
Countless others have been and are imprisoned for engaging in age-different relationships. Suppressed research from reputable universities suggests that such age-different relationships often tend to be more stable on average than age-same relationships. This is because the older partner typically provides stability and supportive guidance. Regrettably, mainstream media often highlights extreme cases of abuse while ignoring the statistical reality behind such relationships. In truth, age-same relationships are not inherently better but sometimes worse. The number of abused victims among age-same relationships in the teens and early 20s is more common than we think, yet the abuse never makes headlines because it carries no shock value. Shocking stories that conform to the cultural narrative are the ones that sell newspapers, so any abusive age-different relationships make the press while abusive same-age relationships are ignored. But then the public gets a deeply biased view of reality that readers take as fact. Emotions rule the day over logic.
Moreover, relationship satisfaction scored higher for age-different vs. age-similar relationships. A YouTube video that was deemed touching and beautiful was removed by YouTube because it showed age different relationships between adult men and teen males despite receiving hundreds of loving messages. The user was also banned. Twitter (before Musk), Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, et al all have final say on what they believe is “appropriate”. They have a monopoly on power. Indeed, they banned a sitting US President. #censorship #cancelculture
Wokeness
Wokeness runs in parallel to the above. “Wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal,” Elon Musk said. “Trying to shut down Chappelle, come on, man, that’s crazy. Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate basically? At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue.”
Chappelle may be transphobic which is a shame. Hopefully he corrects his primitive, narrow views. But even though I disagree with Chappelle, I uphold his right to voice his wrongheaded opinions.
Limiting freedom of speech always comes at a steep price. The idea is that no one’s feelings should get hurt, but it has created a pampered state of mind. The current coddle culture is breeding spineless daffodils. Indeed, there’s a slippery slope between someone’s feelings being hurt and cancel culture which denounces so many forms of communication because someone’s feelings were hurt. This has culminated in a leftwing wokeness which is the real pandemic as it invades top institutions such as the Ivy League universities and top corporations such as Google and Facebook. These ideas always start with good intentions but, just as with socialism, end up in violence being hateful and divisive by nature. In consequence, we have more social unrest today than we have had since the great depression in the 1930s. The US has never been closer to civil war since it’s civil war in the 19th century as detailed by Ray Dalio.
In one of the Rick & Morty episodes, the dialog between Summer and Morty rings true:
Summer: Does all interdimensional TV have to rely on juvenile violence?
Morty: Well, Summer, maybe people that create things aren’t concerned with your delicate sensibilities, you know? Maybe the species that communicate with each other through the filter of your comfort are less evolved than the ones that just communicate! Maybe your problems are your own to deal with, and maybe the public giving a sh!t about your feelings is a one-way ticket to extinction!
The legendary Ray Kurzweil and Peter Diamandis rightfully agree.
The “150”
Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya blew the whistle on the 150, an elite group of roughly 150 people who hold more power and money than most, thus control the world. Some drop off while new ones are invited. My ex-wife in an Indian royal whose relative is one of these 150. Her relative always has said humans are ants to be controlled. That sentiment held by the 150 was verified by Palihapitiya when some of the members tried to indoctrinate him into the group.
What is the deep state?
The term "deep state" refers to non-elected career government officials holding prominent positions in intelligence agencies like GCHQ, MI6, CIA, FBI, KGB, and NSA. These individuals outlast elected leaders and, as revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden in the Stellarwind scandal, engage in activities like illegal wiretapping. An interesting shift occurred when President Obama, initially critical of such practices, changed his stance upon assuming office. Snowden, in a brilliant interview with Joe Rogan, sheds light on the deep state's workings. After being elected, a US president receives "covert action findings," briefing them on various matters. Mentally exhausted from the grueling election process, the President, now responsible for overseeing these agencies, is confronted with a litany of alarming situations. The intelligence agencies aim to align the President with their interests, emphasizing potential dire consequences if cooperation is lacking. The President, faced with potential blame for adverse outcomes, often feels compelled to comply with the agencies' requests.
This has been the situation since John F Kennedy. Obama had no choice. If he doesnt go along with all these worries and concerns voiced by the agencies, it will be his fault. Then the President is told, “If you give us what we want, it’s classified so you wont get in trouble.” When Snowden whistle blew in 2013, government officials were caught on their backfoot. In consequence, there were admissions by government officials of “we were going to get to it, if they just gave us more time”. Obama on the other hand said and did nothing, but instead went along with the deep state.
The next two sections of this chapter are summaries from this interview with Snowden.
Snowden Notes: The Espionage Act
Wikileaks proved invaluable; however, individuals like Daniel Hale, Chelsea Manning, Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, and others encounter similar legal challenges. Operating under the Espionage Act, these whistleblowers are prohibited from discussing the reasons behind revealing sensitive information, their motivations, or the public benefits of their actions. The US government deems this a strict liability crime, considered more severe than murder. Consequently, juries are restricted from considering the why, focusing solely on whether a crime was committed.
Despite the truth being on the side of these whistleblowers, the government invokes strict liability crimes, undermining journalists like Julian Assange who courageously expose heinous truths. Strict liability crimes avoid putting the US government on trial which conceals government actions. This approach is fundamentally and ethically indefensible.
Bad actors in government prevail. The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed charges against Assange on the basis of a password cracking agreement that was never his idea that was used to access classified material. They alleged that Assange was part of a conspiracy to break the law. In consequence, the DOJ is charging Julian with conspiring to agree with the action of others to crack the password. By contrast, a former CIA director via the Mueller report claims former President Donald Trump was in bed with the Russians. To date, there has been zero evidence yet tons of allegations which turned out to be nothing. Trump was not exonerated on the charge of conspiring to obstruct justice, but the matter was eventually dropped. But now with elections around the corner, deep state is going after Trump with a vengeance.
At any rate, even though Assange didn’t crack the password, the agreement for others to try is enough to charge him. So Trump at the time escaped but Assange did not. Based on this at the time it happened, it seems journalists are held to a higher standard of behavior than the President of United States. But in 2023, to defeat Trump’s chance at being re-elected president, the DOJ is filing various charges against Trump. Such illustrates the inconsistent and often hypocritical nature of the DOJ.
Snowden Notes: Classified Catch-22
Another Catch-22 is when the courts examine any unconstitutional program such as Stellarwind. Since the program is classified, the government does not have to turn over any documents to the courts. In fact, providing evidence such programs exist is a felony under the Espionage Act because they are classified. This rule of law which protects the government at all costs was created under George H.W. Bush’s presidency.
When Ron Wyden asked top NSA official James Clapper if illegal wire tapping on Americans exists, Clapper lied. Wyden knew this was a lie. Yet both agreed to this ruse over the American public in the name of “national security”. CIA director Michael Hayden lied as well to Congress.
Both the head of the NSA and the President knew they were all lying since they knew that Americans were being illegally wire tapped. But the head of the NSA said he will do what the President wants in the name of “protecting” Americans.
In consequence, the government can use Stellarwind data gathered from Americans against any American if that American does something wrong. Indeed, NSA mass surveillance is now standard.
Our legal counsel Arthur Brill who was a top attorney in New York City saw tax laws being created in a similar manner back in 2006 then said in forlorn fashion, “This is not the country I grew up in” because even his top team could no longer understand all the new tax laws being passed. If the government wants to charge anyone with a crime, they can easily draw upon the countless tax laws now in existence that would fill up a football field. Contrast this to the 1900s when all the US tax laws would fit neatly into a small box.
Chain of command
Ultimately, these systems of corruption endure because there is a chain of command comprised of people who don’t want to lose their jobs. They often remain unaware of the role they play in any corrupt system, but even if they become aware, they probably have mouths to feed. The majority of Americans and Brits live paycheck-to-paycheck. Further, the greater the number of people who participate, the harder it is for an individual to go against the mob since, deep down, many of us want to belong.
Authoritarianism
Over the years, I noticed how information suppression has become standard. Covid showed the emperor has no clothes. Big Tech companies would penalize or censor those who said Covid in their broadcasts on YouTube or Facebook. Information control ran rampant during Covid. Is it any coincidence that many of the more controversial, published journal articles on topics such as sex and drug studies are no longer available on the internet? Digital censorship is the equivalent of book burning.
Authoritarian governments are ubiquitous. The only question is to what degree. Centralized systems of power suppress those with brilliant ideas that cross big business, big pharma, big oil, or big <fill in the blank>. A few well known figures have come under the legal gun of “justice” such as Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, and Aaron Swartz. All could be called heroes. Aaron Swartz was “suicided” by the CIA though official records say he killed himself. This term has been used on those who are mysteriously found hanged usually because they had information that could get powerful people in trouble such as Jeffrey Epstein. There is no logical reason why Swartz would end his life. He held whistle blowing information against certain highly corrupt major investment banks so was ended. The same happened to stem cell pioneer Laura whom I discuss in chapter 4.
The heinous Patriot Acts killed the Bill of Rights in one go as the nebulous definition of “terrorism” can be applied to almost anyone. The Justice Department can target anyone on this basis. The victim then has no legal recourse and can be indefinitely detained. The Patriot Acts could be renamed The Authoritarian Acts.
Big Tech in bed with governments
The mega multi-trillion dollar corporation Apple, Inc. and Android mobiles are both horrible at protecting privacy. Data that used to be stored temporarily is now saved via bulk collection methods. Various governments agencies such as the CIA conduct mass surveillance through major social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. In the US, this is a violation of the Constitution’s Fourth Amendment which states a search or seizure is illegal if it happens without consent, a warrant, or probable cause to believe a crime has been committed.
When someone shares enough of their lives through pictures and texts on social media, any part of it can be twisted out of context by a bad actor. Fortunately, such bad actors have been very rare in my case as I could count them on one hand, but the damage done by each was appreciable as I retell the beyond nightmarish events in Chapter 9. Nevertheless, I prefer to be open source. I am being the change I wish to see, so others, too, can be true to their nature.
Politicians know that social media platforms can greatly influence who becomes the next President and the next congressman. As a consequence, these platforms are controlled by the government. China has used TikTok to manipulate those in other countries including the US. Congress wants Zuckerberg to use Facebook to basically suppress the other side, ie, whichever side they oppose at that time. So if they are right wing, they want Facebook to suppress the left wing. If they’re left wing, they want to suppress the right wing.
Censors work inside these big tech companies. These censors are part of the Department of Safety and Trust. But since the Department of Defense is actually the Department of War, the Department of Safety and Trust should be called the Department of Censorship. The censors often come from Silicon Valley, so the censors reflect Silicon Valley’s left wing politics. But when you suppress speech, the organism metastasizes, so it turns towards other means. If you’re unlucky, it goes towards violence, revolution, and war. If you’re lucky, it finds other outlets.
All that said, welcome to the surveillance state. Governments hope monitoring the data of its citizens will become useful at some point if necessary. Apple/Android contact cell towers continuously use location services, wireless axis points, and each phone’s unique global identifier, so each phone can be mapped. Google keeps notes on whose wifi is being mapped, so as long as you’re connected to wifi, you can be identified. Shutting off your phone doesnt mean it’s off because you cant remove the battery in many cases. The problem with Apple and Android mobiles is you have no idea what they are doing. It is hard to turn off all the apps or the internet on a connection-by-connection basis. If you use Facebook, you need to connect to Facebook’s content servers but remain unaware you have been connected to other servers such as third party servers because the data collection industry is built on keeping the connections to third party servers invisible.
To solve this third party issue, they could set up spokes from your Facebook that connect to any server so that you could then tell which spokes are allowed at any given time, then turn off the ones you don’t want. But Google, Apple, and Android dont allow this to exist on the rationale that such detail is too complicated for the average user. This begs the question of why isn’t this structure then simplified? Because it is intentional on their part to keep things out of the reach of users. Indeed, there is an inequality of available information. They can see everything you do, but you cant see much of what they do. The younger generation understands this implicitly. Information becomes influence. Governments can use it against anyone if necessary.
The ToS trap
When utilizing software or websites, most people agree to the Terms of Service (ToS). Typically, the first paragraph says this agreement can be changed unilaterally by the company which gives the government the ability to demand information from the company without breaking the law. In the case of the third party doctrine, Smith vs Maryland, a company was able to provide records of individual users to the government without a warrant since the company had ownership of the records of its users. As a consequence, users have no privacy rights. Major companies are forced to align with governments. This creates a mega powerful entity.
“Spy” phones
Most every mobile today is a “spy” phone. Phones represent one of the largest attack surfaces that can be used against users. Programmers have figured out how to control mobiles from remote. Most users dont shut off the microphone on the many apps they use. Governments can then eavesdrop through the mobiles of users. The two largest economies, the US and China, are guilty of this. The surveillance state exists in both countries though the US is covert about it while China is overt. The alleged intention of the US is freedom while China’s is all about control. That said, corruption exists in all governments but some are more corrupt than others.
iPhone’s iMsg integrates with most apps. Apple never changed the way iMsg parses incoming text. iMsg can send messages to iPhones which can load arbitrary code from intelligence agencies. This allows them to take over your phone. From remote, they can turn on your camera or microphone. They can get constant updates from screen shots. Android is equally guilty of this.
Democracy is an illusion
The executive branch uses power to serve its own political ends with all elected Presidents. Every foreign policy abuse by the US has Bernie Sanders screaming about it but largely falls on deaf, ignorant ears. The beliefs of other presidential candidates are bought and sponsored. Edward Snowden detailed this nicely in various interviews he has given over the years.
The “Justice” System
In the US, the odds of a prosecutor becoming a judge soars if they put enough people behind bars. It is therefore no coincidence that most judges in the US are former prosecutors. The justice system feeds on itself, subsidized by big government, in a nasty whirlpool that sucks in the innocent who often serve as fuel for the justice system and the multi-billion dollar prison built-out. Granted, some guilty go to prison but a growing number of innocents are implicated today more than ever before. It flies in the face of Benjamin Franklin who said, “It is better a hundred guilty persons should escape than one innocent person should suffer."
Given the above, many death row inmates were found innocent once DNA testing became available. This is a disgrace to the so-called Justice System in the US. Cases are won at jury selection because juries are easily manipulated into believing lies. This is why top jury selection specialists charge high 6- or 7-figure dollar sums for their services. Yet, despite this rigging, culture deems a person guilty if a jury finds them guilty. Culture also deems a person guilty if the person agrees to a plea bargain. But such a person is often innocent. Most would probably take a plea to avoid the risk of many years in prison. Here is one of countless disturbing examples of how plea bargains work.
The Case of David
David was just an innocent 18 year old high school student when he lost his temper, threw a desk in a classroom, and shouted, “I’m going to blow up this f___ing school!” The teacher informed the principal who called the police because this was right after Columbine shooting incident. By the time the police arrived, the principal told them it was just a student acting up so no need to take any action. However, by law, the police must file a report, so the report ended up in the district attorney’s desk who saw that David was just a high school student with little funds. She filed 3 felony counts against David for acts of terrorism, invoking the Patriot Act. This carried a maximum penalty of 30 years in the federal penitentiary. David was numb. He ended up taking a plea bargain of 6 months in Los Angeles county jail where he was raped repeatedly. In prison, drugs are readily available, so he developed a speed addiction to numb the horrors of prison life. A month after he was released, he was subjected to random drug testing as part of his parole agreement and tested positive for speed. In consequence, he was sent back to county jail, but this time for one year. He has never been the same. He was a beautiful, brilliant soul ruined by the system of “justice”. At the age of 42, twenty-four years later, we are still close to this day. Like many of those I befriended in their teen years, we remain lifelong friends. I was going to send him money a couple years ago, but he managed to figure out how to improve his situation on his own. He gives amply to those in need even though he has little to give. He is also turning into an extraordinary artist.
Standard practice
Sadly, what happened to David is standard practice in the US. The prosecutor files numerous counts that total many years in prison which forces the accused to plea bargain. Again, I reiterate that this in no way implies guilt. Imagine if you were in such a situation and had little means to proper legal defense. Do you roll the dice with a public defender with their miserable track records or take the plea to get far less time in prison?
Similar happens in the UK. The Queen of England overrode Prime Minister Cameron’s veto to privatize prisons in the UK because prisons are cheap slave labor at typically 45 pence/hr thus contribute to the GDP. Sadly, all news references of the Queen’s actions have been removed. Please email a link to chris@teardroprain.com or christian.geographia@gmail.com if you find this story resurfacing. One of the larger projects has many prisoners performing mind numbing tasks that as weaving defense mesh netting for the country. Phone calls are also notoriously expensive in UK prisons as telcos feed off the prisoners’ vulnerable position.
Unclear thinking
Not helping the situation are the politicized educational systems which create groupthink followers. If all of your beliefs line up into one political party, you’re not a clear thinker. If all your beliefs are the same as your neighbors and your friends, you’re not a clear thinker. Instead, you’re beliefs are socialized. They’re taken from other people. So if you want to be a clear thinker, do not be swayed by politics or it will destroy your ability to think.
Regulatory capture = soaring inflation
Along with the parade of horribles discussed above, regulatory capture benefits the few at the cost of the many thus is anti-consumer and a big reason inflation is so high. When it occurs, a small group receives benefits at the expense of the larger population. To change the way things are done in a specific industry, you would have to call your representative, switch your vote, protest in Washington, and organize a lobbying group that will show up year after year with millions of dollars in campaign donations so that it never happens again. Only those with deep pockets win.
Cases in point:
= Germany gave the green light to 96 different companies to make quick Covid tests, but in the US, only three companies received FDA approval. In Germany, these tests cost less than $1, but in the US, they are $12 each. Interestingly, the person at the FDA who approves these tests, Timothy Stenzel, used to work for two of the three companies that were approved.
=Companies dealing with cryptocurrency face certain challenges due to regulations influenced by the financial sector. This is evident in the efforts of Elizabeth Warren's group opposing cryptocurrency.
= Companies trying to create safer nuclear energy face obstacles from rules influenced by oil and gas companies, as well as the environmental groups they support. The decision to use riskier energy sources over nuclear has led to a whopping 59 million more deaths in the last 30 years. Although this should be shocking, people aren't as moved as they are by the images from far less deadly events like the Chernobyl or Fukushima nuclear disasters because they claimed far fewer lives.
In fact, the number of deaths from nuclear incidents including elevated cancer rates is shockingly minuscule.
= It’s distressing that record levels of people in the US take their own lives due to depression each year. We’ve known for decades that psychedelics in combination with talk therapy can help treat depression, yet these substances remain classified as top-tier illegal drugs.
=More expensive Covid tests mean three companies benefit at the expense of hundreds of millions of people paying more.
This deserves repeating: It should be a crime to sit on technology without releasing it for too long out of some misguided precautionary principle. As one of countless examples, the statistic above on 59.3 million more deaths over the last 30 years should be shocking. But counterfactuals are hard to comprehend. They dont stir emotions. In consequence, MSM doesn’t report on:
all of the people who wouldn’t have died if we used more nuclear instead of coal
all the people who would still be alive if research into psychedelics had continued in the 1960s onward
how cheap healthcare and education could be if those industries weren’t regulatorily captured
how many millions of people who would be able to contribute to the economy had they not been imprisoned from victimless drug and sex crimes
Rainbow Computing Inc. in the 1990s recognized the high sex and drug conviction problem in the US so hired ex-cons at a deep discount since no other company would hire them. Their stock soared because their profit margins clobbered their competition.
The legendary Raymond Kurzweil whose “outlandish” predictions since the 1990s have had an impressive accuracy rate of 86% has said it all comes down to cost/benefit. When politics are involved, MSM paints a twisted picture so the public is made to believe the benefit is far less and the cost far greater when facts show the opposite is the case, and sometimes to an extreme degree. MSM uses the worst of the fringe cases to paint an ugly picture that this is the norm, so laws that would economically benefit society rarely get enacted while uneconomic ideas become laws that hamper growth.
This chart comparing the prices of goods in heavily-regulated versus less-regulated industries shows why inflation is so high.
Excessive government regulation is frequently rooted in subsidies and restrictive rules that impede the entry of new competitors, resulting in escalating prices. Sectors such as healthcare, education, and housing remain disproportionately expensive compared to goods due to limited opportunities for trade. While governments have the option to make these services tradable, they often refrain, using the excuse that they need to protect consumers, jobs, and suppliers. Regrettably, this protective stance tends to contribute to inflationary pressures within these industries without delivering genuine safeguards. For instance, traditional universities, holding significant financial interests, employ regulatory capture to obstruct online competitors. This obstructive approach hinders startups like Udacity from gaining equivalent recognition, as they may not meet the required certification standards.
This underscores a prevalent problem: the frequent lack of deep understanding in dealing with intricate situations. Politicians often fail to grasp the complex web of interconnections, leading to the implementation of economically unsound laws that ultimately fuel heightened inflation, impacting everyone. This lack of understanding is apparent across various contentious issues, such as global warming, Covid, drug policies, sexuality, terrorism, and money laundering. Mainstream media exploits these subjects, triggering emotional responses where reactive laws devoid of any economic sense are enacted.
Politicized education
Legendary trader Ed Seykota is beyond brilliant when it comes to teaching others. He has trained more top performing superstars in the world of investing than most. He had figured out a superior system of education on how to teach students in public schools in the state of Nevada in the US back in the 1990s where he and his family lived. Seykota kept demanding his idea get utilized because it would result in higher test scores while students learn how to think for themselves. Eventually, Seykota had the lives of his children threatened. He knows it came from deep state.
Many school superintendents are political animals. They have zero interest in the actual well being of the students. Their interest is in keeping their power base strong which means keeping the status quo. This explains why students from public schools in the US keep scoring near or at global lows in math and science.
When I lived in California, I was part of a group that took students in the Compton district which is one of the most dangerous districts from the bottom 10% to the top 10% in test scores in California. We used proven concepts used in school systems in Scandinavian countries such as “3 before me” to achieve what some called miraculous. Nevertheless, our success was never replicated across other public schools because public education in the US has become politicized. Leaders typically dont want students learning to think for themselves because this can create dissent. Mao exiled or killed 19 million students from educated and wealthy backgrounds when he ruled China because they were the most likely to overthrow his corrupt regime.
Eleni Z who worked with the public school system in the US had a hugely successful program that helped students become far better at learning. Sadly, this program was never picked up and reproduced due to the political nature of public education.
SOLUTIONS
This book serves to point the way forward, not just “complain”. All of the above serves to raise awareness of our reality so more individuals take part in the (r)evolution which will not be centralized. Brainwashed flat-earthers will see the truth. Chapter 12 delves deeply into how fast decentralized technology is evolving spurred by many of the brightest minds who believe in e/acc (effective accelerationism). Corrupt centralized systems will eventually take a backseat over the next decade.
