These days, it’s easy to buy into the "everything is wrong" belief from big pharma corruption to massive numbers of people being prescribed anti-anxiety and anti-depression drugs to AI’s woke mind virus to false accusations to wrongful arrests to rights crippling laws that go against our own biology. But higher frequency (the good) will win in the end. It always does. Concepts such as Balaji Srinivasan’s Network State are evolving exponentially. The Netwoke State doesn’t stand a chance.
First the bad then the good. Bad always eventually leads to good.

In the US, antidepressant usage has surged by nearly 65% in the past 15 years. In the UK, more than one in three (37%) teenagers have been prescribed them, rising to 43% among 19-to-21 year-olds. This is insane.

Crime and Punishment: Decriminalizing crime and the corrupt use of legal systems are eroding justice. Major cities such as San Francisco, Santa Monica, New York City have become dangerous. Elon Musk said, “If you walk around the streets of San Francisco and many downtowns, homeless would be the wrong term, it’s VIOLENT DRUG ZOMBIE. Homeless is a misnomer, it implies that someone got a little bit behind on their mortgage, and if you just gave them a job, they’d be back on their feet…what you actually gave are violent drug zombies with dead eyes and needles and human feces on the street. San Francisco used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and now you have to step over the drug needles and the feces and the bodies.”

In the UK, individuals merely documenting the unrest through social media have been arrested. On the digital front, stories like Hunter Biden's are stifled, alongside any content that challenges controversial narratives on sex, biology, and relationships. Even prominent figures are not immune; the founder of Telegram has faced legal repercussions, thought leaders like Joe Dispenza are being sidelined, and in a move that shocked many, a sitting U.S. President, Donald Trump, was stripped of his digital voice.
Legal and Corporate Concerns:
Biological Rights: Legislation that contradicts biological realities, corrupting social norms, especially as concerns race, age, religion, and sexuality. The Historical Pattern of Overreach in the Name of Protection
Throughout history, movements to "protect" society have often been co-opted by those in power, leading to significant oversteps that infringe on civil liberties and target the very groups they claim to safeguard:
Terrorism and the Patriot Act: Post-9/11, fear of terrorism led to sweeping legislation that expanded surveillance powers at the cost of privacy rights. The Bill of Rights was effectively decimated. One can be detained indefinitely without right to legal representation if declared a terrorist. #SurveillanceState
Marijuana and Moral Panic: The war on drugs, particularly marijuana, was fueled by misinformation, resulting in the criminalization of millions and the perpetuation of the prison-industrial complex. #WarOnDrugs

This pattern reveals a disturbing trend where the guise of protection serves as a cloak for control, often with unintended consequences that ripple through society, stifling freedom and innovation while purporting to preserve safety. Likewise, the age of consent laws designed to protect minors actually contribute greatly to soaring rates of depression and suicide across a demographic who is at their peak in terms of needing to bond lovingly and sexually. Minors have few to no rights in these matters. The very idea they cannot consent goes against biology as legendary scientist Carl Sagan once famously wrote. Instead, they are told they are powerless. In consequence, they are stuck behind their phones and laptops with minimal direct human contact that prior generations enjoyed. A whopping 36.2% of respondents aged 18-25 reported a diagnosable mental illness according to the DSM IV in the last year. The question remains: At what point does protection become crippling oppression? #FreedomVsControl

In consequence, solutions to problems such as global warming come much faster than EA (effective altruism) which penalizes companies, contributes to inflation, and slows growth so solutions remain out of reach.
There has been a growing awareness of inequalities in gender, race, sexuality, trans so there is greater fairness to minorities, LGBTQ+ as long as it does not result in affirmative action on steroids. In the chart below, the numbers are probably higher since some still cling to the view they are 100% straight due to cultural pressures. It is easy to suppress parts of oneself where one feels shame.
Decentralized bitcoin separates money from state much as separation of church and state was a great leap forward. Other decentralized systems including decentralized social media, decentralized publishing, decentralized broadband, and decentralized file sharing have launched.
More decentralized communication and information is now available to more than ever despite govt attempts to censor/block/ban. X enabled truth telling.
More productivity/time is created and saved via generative AI, apps, automation, and services.
